The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) invites applications for the following internship position:
1. Intern Logistics
Location: Assosa, Ethiopia
Job Description:
The NRC Assosa Operation is engaged in providing support in various refugee camps and IDP/Returnee sites. The intern will assist with procurement and logistics activities, ensuring compliance with NRC policies and procedures.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update the supplier database at the area office.
- Ensure adherence to NRC procurement policies and procedures, resolving procurement issues as they arise.
- Process requisitions through Agresso, prepare RFQs, purchase orders, and update status reports.
- Liaise with suppliers for the timely and accurate delivery of goods, services, and equipment.
- Prepare and submit monthly procurement reports to the line manager.
- Support procurement activities and coordinate with stores to ensure proper documentation.
- Assist in managing resources within budget, timelines, and standards.
Job Requirements:
Generic Professional Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, or related disciplines.
- 0 years of relevant work experience.
- Fluent in oral and written English, Amharic, and another local language.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills.
Context/Specific Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office applications.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
