Position: Branch Manager Grade I (IFB)
Purpose of the Job:
Responsible for achieving sustainable growth and profitability through cross-selling the Bank’s products and services, customer acquisition and retention, enhancing customer service, and building strong relationships to maximize resource mobilization and manage overall retail banking operations at the branch.
Generic Functions:
- Develop and monitor the branch’s work plans and budgets
- Uphold the Bank’s culture and corporate image, demonstrating the Bank’s code of conduct
- Ensure adherence to service level agreements and lead subordinates by example
- Contribute to branch profitability in line with set targets
- Mentor and guide subordinates for effective career development
Specific Functions:
- Lead the branch’s resource mobilization by organizing and coordinating branch staff effectively
- Review the branch’s books of accounts, income and expense summaries, and ensure strict control of expenses
- Ensure immediate authorization of transactions and timely completion of end-of-day processes
Educational Background & Skills:
- Qualification: BA in Business Management, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Finance & Economics, Marketing Management, or related fields
- Experience: At least 7 years in the banking industry, including 1 year as Assistant Branch Manager, CSM, or Relationship Manager, or 7 years of relevant experience with a minimum of 2 years as a Senior Officer in a banking operations role
