GIZ invites qualified and competent applicants to apply for the following position.

Position: Internship (Urgent)

  • Project: National Information Platform for Nutrition (NIPN)
  • Contract Duration: 6 months
  • Location: Addis Ababa

Project Overview:

The NIPN project, commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), co-funded by the EU, and implemented by GIZ, works to enhance policy and programming for nutrition through evidence-based governance. NIPN collaborates with Ethiopian ministries to strengthen nutrition-sensitive and specific programs across sectors.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assist in preparing information, including creating and maintaining PowerPoint presentations.
  • Take meeting notes, prepare memos, and manage general office duties.
  • Input information, data, and records on DMS.
  • Set up and organize conference, training, and meeting rooms; update supervisors’ calendars.
  • Attend company functions and networking events.
  • Support the project team with external service providers and event organization.
  • Facilitate NIPN activities at the GIZ office.
  • Provide ongoing support to both technical and management teams within GIZ and partner organizations (EPH and IFPRI).

Job Requirements

  • Education: Higher education degree (BA or MA) in Nutrition or Agriculture.
  • Experience: Fresh graduate of 2024 with 0 experience.
  • Skills and Competencies:
  • Knowledge in Nutrition, data analysis, and nutrition article preparation.
  • Research experience and proficiency in English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and attention to detail.
  • High degree of initiative, efficiency, and accountability.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong motivation, intellectual curiosity, and creative thinking skills.
