About ERC

The Ethiopian Railways Corporation (ERC), established in November 2007 under Regulation 141/2007, is the national railway operator under the Ministry of Transport. The corporation is responsible for developing railway infrastructure and providing passenger and freight transportation services. With projects on eight key corridors, ERC plays a significant role in enhancing Ethiopia’s social and economic development.

Vacant Positions

1. Project Manager

Education: MSc/BSc in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Highway/Bridge Engineering, or related fields.
Experience: 6/8 years of experience in road and bridge construction, including 5 years as a Project Manager.
Place of Work: Addis Ababa
Terms of Employment: Contract

2. Project Engineer

Education: MSc/BSc in Construction Management, Highway/Bridge Engineering, or related fields.
Experience: 5/7 years of experience in road and bridge construction, including 3 years as a Project Engineer.
Place of Work: Addis Ababa
Terms of Employment: Contract

3. Pavement/Material Engineer

Education: BSc or higher in Civil Engineering or related fields.
Experience: 5 years of proven experience in road and bridge construction, including 3 years as a Pavement/Material Engineer.

4. Plant/Equipment Manager

Education: Diploma or higher in Auto Mechanics or related fields.
Experience: 5 years of proven experience in plant/equipment management.
Place of Work: Addis Ababa

5. Structural Engineer

Education: BSc in Civil Engineering or related fields.
Experience: 8 years of proven experience as a Structural Engineer, including 5 years in bridge construction.
Required Positions: 3

6. Construction Supervisor

Education: MSc/BSc in Civil Engineering or related fields.
Experience: 5/7 years of proven experience as a Construction Engineer, including 3 years in bridge construction projects.

7. Inventory Control Officer III

Education: MA/BA in Law, Civics, Ethical Education, Sociology, Management, Public Relations, or related fields.
Experience: 2/4 years of relevant experience.
Place of Work: Addis Ababa
