Position: Administration and Logistics Assistant
Job Summary:
The Administration and Logistics Assistant will support the ERCS in implementing a relief project in partnership with the German Red Cross (GRC). This role involves providing administrative and logistical support, managing project documentation, and ensuring efficient use of resources.
Roles and Responsibilities
General Responsibilities:
- Comply with procedures, regulations, and policies of ERCS, GRC, and the donor.
- Work collaboratively with the project team to achieve program goals.
- Uphold Red Cross/Red Crescent principles and ERCS security regulations.
Specific Responsibilities:
Logistics/Admin Support:
- Copy and archive project and financial documents accurately.
- Stamp financial documents and ensure proper signatures.
- Scan and archive documents systematically in the correct digital folders.
- Arrange flights, accommodation, and transport for visitors and project staff.
- Manage office supplies, airtime top-ups, and other logistical needs.
Driving/Vehicle Management (20% of time):
- Drive the project vehicle in Addis Ababa, following ERCS/IFRC safety regulations.
- Ensure the vehicle is well-maintained, fuelled, and inspected regularly.
- Monitor vehicle mileage and logbook usage.
- Renew vehicle insurance and complete annual inspections.
Other Duties:
- Travel to project areas as requested.
- Share ideas for process improvement.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned by the line manager.
Job Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Marketing, Logistics & Supply Chain, or related fields.
- Must have a 3rd-grade driving license with at least 2 years of driving experience.
- Proficiency in English and good communication skills.
- At least 2 years of related work experience in logistics or business administration.
- Experience working with international teams is an advantage.

Contract Details
- Duration: 12 months with the possibility of extension.
- Salary/Grade: Negotiable.
