Position 1: Peace Building Officer

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • BA in Peace and Conflict Studies, Development Studies, International Development, Refugee Rights, or related fields relevant to peacebuilding and social cohesion in refugee and displaced contexts.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3 years of technical expertise in peacebuilding approaches and leadership roles.
    • At least 2 years of experience designing and implementing relief and development programs in Ethiopia.

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to collaborate with local organizations and adapt methods to their capacity.
  • Strong project management, financial oversight, and reporting skills.

Travel Requirements:

  • Domestic travel: up to 20%.
  • Availability for on-call duties: up to 20%.

Position 2: People and Culture Business Partner

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • BA in Management, Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related fields.
    • Preferred: MBA, MPM, or MPA.
    • Membership in a recognized HR body.
  • Experience:
    • At least 7 years in HR Business Partnering or related roles, including INGO field operations experience in challenging environments.
    • Proven skills in consultation, coaching, influencing senior leaders, and managing client relationships.

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of HR management practices, employment legislation, and HR systems like Workday.
  • Certifications in Trauma Counseling, Adult Safeguarding, or Risk Management.
  • Leadership certifications and experience with USAID or grant projects are advantageous.

Travel Requirements:

  • Up to 50% domestic travel.

Language Requirements:

  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Position 3: JEOP Zonal Coordinator

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • MA/MSc or BA/BSc in Food Science, Agricultural Economics, Disaster Management, Rural Development, or related fields.
  • Experience:
    • At least 5 years of exposure to food aid programs, including 3 years in commodities and logistics operations.

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

  • Expertise in Emergency Food Resource Management, Grants Management, Market Analysis, and Cash Transfer Programming.
  • Familiarity with USAID-funded projects, SPHERE standards, and Humanitarian Accountability practices.
  • Leadership capabilities and the ability to perform in high-stress environments.
