Awash Bank Job Vacancy Announcement

Awash Bank, one of Ethiopia’s leading private banks, is inviting qualified and competent candidates to apply for the following positions. Below are the details of the vacancies, qualifications, experience requirements, and application process:


1. IT Officer

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in IT.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and maintain the bank’s IT infrastructure at the regional branch office.
  • Install and configure computer hardware, operating systems, and applications.
  • Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.
  • Provide IT support for new application implementations.

Location: North Regional Office – Mekelle Town (Vacancy No. HO/01802/25)


2. Senior Officer – Information Security Governance, Compliance, and Risk Management

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related fields.
  • Certifications: Minimum of 1–2 professional certifications in Information Security Administration, Standards, or Frameworks.
  • Experience: At least 6 years of experience in information security, preferably in the banking sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage information security governance and risk management tasks.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee security policies and procedures.
  • Conduct compliance audits and technology risk assessments.
  • Organize cybersecurity awareness training.
  • Ensure industry-standard certification processes are conducted.

3. Branch Manager – Class IV Branch

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Accounting, Banking & Finance, or Economics.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of relevant banking experience, including 3 years in a supervisory role.

Job Summary:

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee branch banking operations.
  • Ensure adherence to banking procedures, regulations, and best practices.
  • Lead sales and customer service activities to enhance branch performance.
  • Prepare and submit annual budgets, operational plans, and progress reports.

Locations:

  • Bita Branch – Kaffa Zone, Bita Town (Vacancy No. HO/01800/25)
  • Shako Branch – Bench-Shako Zone, Shako Town (Vacancy No. HO/01801/25)

Employment Terms: Permanent
