Hawassa Industrial Park Investors Association (HIPIA) External Vacancy Announcement

The Hawassa Industrial Park Investors Association (HIPIA) is a non-profit organization representing investors within Hawassa Industrial Park, located in Hawassa, Ethiopia.

Established in 2016, HIPIA comprises 22 members from diverse countries, including India, Sri Lanka, China, Hong Kong, the United States, Ethiopia, France, Belgium, Taiwan, and Indonesia. Among these, three are local, while eighteen are international suppliers serving the European and American textile and apparel markets.

Open Positions

1. Electrician

📌 Key Responsibilities:

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment.
Diagnose and resolve electrical issues.
Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.

2. Technician

📌 Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and repair mechanical machinery and equipment.
Troubleshoot and fix electronic equipment faults.
Provide IT support, including installing and maintaining computer systems and networks.

3. Production Supervisor

📌 Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage production processes.
Ensure production targets are met efficiently and cost-effectively.
Monitor quality and improve production performance.

Qualifications (Applicable to All Positions)

✅ Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical, or Computer Engineering.

✅ Skills & Competencies:

Strong English communication and computer proficiency.
Ability to work independently and within a team.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Commitment to work ethics and safety standards.

✅ Additional Requirements (For Production Supervisor Only):

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of production planning and control techniques.
