Position: Cashier

POSITION SUMMARY: The Cashier is responsible for processing all payment methods in accordance with Accounting procedures and policies, following property control audit standards and cash handling procedures. The key responsibilities include:

• Process all payment methods in line with accounting procedures.
• Follow property control audit standards and cash handling procedures (e.g., blind drops).
• Obtain assigned bank and ensure accuracy of contracted monies, obtaining necessary change for the expected business level, and keeping the bank secure at all times.
• Count bank at the end of the shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure the bank.
• Set up and organize cashier workstation with designated supplies, forms, and materials, ensuring cleanliness at all times.
• Complete opening duties, including setting up necessary supplies and tools, ensuring everything is in working order.
• Follow company and safety policies, report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Provide excellent guest service, welcoming and acknowledging guests according to company standards.
• Assist other employees as needed to ensure proper coverage and guest service.
• Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.

Job Requirements:

• Education: BA Degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Experience: At least 2 years of work experience as a cashier in the hospitality industry. Experience in an international hotel is advantageous.
• Skills:
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Listening skills.
  • Proficiency in English.
