The Ethiopian Commodity Exchange (ECX) is a modern marketplace that brings together buyers and sellers to trade commodities with transparency and efficiency. ECX aims to become a leading and dynamic African Exchange of choice, delivering integrity, security, and technology-driven market systems.

Job Purpose

To participate in and assist with the design, development, maintenance, and enhancement of ECX’s business and corporate applications; perform data warehouse activities; and provide Tier I technical support for application software and databases at both headquarters and regional centers.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Gather and refine user requirements; contribute to design and produce documentation.
Develop application logic and perform unit testing based on SDLC processes.
Maintain existing applications and provide bug fixes and technical support.
Participate in JAD (Joint Application Design) sessions.
Support ETL processes and ensure the smooth operation of the data warehouse.
Generate required reports and produce software documentation.
Carry out any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
