The National Election Board of Ethiopia (NEBE) is an independent institution responsible for overseeing and administering free, fair, and credible elections in Ethiopia.

NEBE invites qualified and competent fresh graduates to apply for the following internship positions:


1. Procurement Assistant – Intern

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receive and review purchase requests from different departments.
  • Ensure procured goods and services meet specifications and purchase orders.
  • Prepare notification letters regarding bid evaluation results.
  • Process payments for suppliers, contractors, and consultants.
  • Maintain procurement-related files, including proposals, evaluations, and contracts.
  • Arrange hotel bookings and ticket reservations.
  • Verify documents before processing payments.
  • Perform other procurement-related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • BA/MA degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Management, Economics, Purchasing & Supplies Management, Marketing, or other relevant fields.
  • 0 – 1 year of experience for BA and MA degree holders.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Understanding of procurement principles, regulations, and best practices.
  • Strong vendor management and contract negotiation skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good time management and task prioritization abilities.

Duty Station: NEBE Headquarters, Addis Ababa
Duration: 3-month contract


2. IT Technician – Intern

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support in coordination with the Senior Store Keeper.
  • Test and verify the functionality of ICT equipment in storage.
  • Troubleshoot basic hardware and software issues.
  • Identify maintenance and repair needs for non-functional hardware.
  • Perform other IT-related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • BA/MA degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • 0 – 1 year of experience for BA and MA degree holders.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Understanding of IT principles and practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.

Duty Station: NEBE Headquarters, Addis Ababa
Duration: 3-month contract
