Women Empowerment โ Action (WE-Action) is a non-political, non-religious, non-profit, indigenous humanitarian and development-oriented organization dedicated to improving the social, economic, and physical well-being of poor women and their communities in Ethiopia. WE-Action currently operates across four regions: SNNPR, Oromia, Tigray, and Amhara, working towards its vision of a โGender Just Ethiopia.โ

1. GBV Case Management Expert
- Project: Her Protection Her Empowerment (HPHE)
- Duty Station: Quarit Woreda, West Gojjam Zone, Amhara Region
- Reports to: Protection Officer
- Type of Employment: Contract (3 Months)
- Number of Positions: 1 (Female applicants only)
- Salary: As per the organizationโs scale
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct case management and psychosocial support for GBV survivors, including children and adolescents.
- Ensure confidential, safe, and respectful case documentation and service delivery.
- Develop and maintain functional referral pathways and networks.
- Facilitate GBV-related capacity building and awareness-raising activities in the community.
- Prepare and submit timely reports and ensure proper utilization of program resources.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BSc or MA/MSc in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in GBV case management and psychosocial services, preferably in humanitarian or development settings.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
2. Protection Officer
- Project: Her Protection Her Empowerment (HPHE)
- Duty Station: Quarit Woreda, West Gojjam Zone, Amhara Region
- Reports to: Protection Coordinator
- Type of Employment: Contract (3 Months)
- Number of Positions: 1 (Female applicants only)
- Salary: As per the organizationโs scale
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate the implementation of project activities in line with organizational standards.
- Provide technical and supervisory support to GBV Case Workers.
- Ensure quality project reporting, budget tracking, and compliance.
- Participate in proposal development, concept note preparation, and program planning.
- Ensure effective documentation, learning, and sharing of best practices and lessons learned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BSc or MA/MSc in Social Work, Psychology, Development Studies, Gender Studies, or related fields.
- Demonstrated experience in project coordination and protection programming.
- Experience working with government and local actors in humanitarian settings.
