About Aggar Microfinance Institution
Aggar MFI is the first private commercial microfinance institution in Ethiopia, legally established under Proclamation No. 40/96 (now replaced by 626/2009), with a mission to serve the “missing middle” by offering credit and savings services in both rural and urban areas.
Founded by 443 shareholders with an initial paid-up capital of Birr 4.2 million, Aggar MFI has grown to over 750 shareholders with a paid-up capital exceeding Birr 200 million and total assets surpassing Birr 410 million.

1. Branch Cashier
- Educational Qualification: BA/College Diploma in Accounting, Management, or related fields
- Experience: 2 years (BA) or 6 years (Diploma) of relevant experience

2. Branch Manager I
- Educational Qualification: MA/BA degree in Marketing, Management, Economics, Accounting, or related fields
- Experience: 4 years of relevant experience, including 2 years as a Senior Credit & Loan Officer at a Financial Institution
- Number of Positions: 3
- Workplaces: Darge, Jimma & Addis Ababa
3. Credit Analyst/Appraisal Officer
- Educational Qualification: MA/BA in Economics, Management, Accounting, Banking and Finance, or related fields
- Experience: 3 years (MA) / 5 years (BA) of relevant experience in related positions at a Financial Institution
- Number of Positions: 2
- Workplace: Addis Ababa, Head Office
4. Manager, District & Branch Operation Coordination
- Educational Qualification: MA/BA degree in Management, Accounting, Marketing, Economics, or related fields
- Experience: 4 years (MA) / 6 years (BA) of relevant experience, including 2 years in a senior position at a Financial Institution
- Number of Positions: 1
- Workplace: Addis Ababa, Head Office
Additional Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word, is mandatory
- All work experience must be documented and verified in writing
