About ASDEPO

The Action for Social Development and Environmental Protection Organization (ASDEPO) is an Ethiopian Civil Society Organization committed to supporting vulnerable populations — mothers, children, youths, and elders — through access to health, education, income-generating activities, and environmental sustainability. ASDEPO operates across all regions of Ethiopia and implements multi-sectoral development and humanitarian programs.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement WASH program activities in IDP, refugee, and host communities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders (donors, government, partners) to improve WASH conditions and infrastructure.
• Provide technical support and supervision to ASDEPO staff and projects.
• Conduct needs assessments and monitor infrastructure quality.
• Lead training sessions on hygiene promotion and capacity building.
• Oversee the development of IEC materials for hygiene promotion.
• Ensure WASH components integrate gender, protection, health, and nutrition aspects.
• Manage contracts, procurement, equipment, and reporting tasks.
• Represent ASDEPO in cluster meetings, TWGs, SAGs, and other coordination platforms.
• Ensure timely implementation and budget tracking.
• Facilitate project agreements with local authorities.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Hydraulics, Water Supply, or related fields.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years, with NGO experience required.
• Skills:
  • Strong technical understanding of WASH interventions.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and teamwork.
  • Willingness to travel frequently and work in remote or challenging conditions.
