🎯 Job Summary:

The Principal will oversee the daily academic and operational functions of the school. This role demands a passionate leader with experience in early childhood education and a strong commitment to nurturing students and building a family-like school environment. The Principal ensures compliance with academic and regulatory standards, manages staff, and collaborates with parents and the community to promote a supportive learning environment.


🔑 Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum Development

  • Oversee and implement the Cambridge curriculum.
  • Liaise regularly with the Cambridge team for curriculum updates.
  • Ensure all learning resources are up to date and accessible.
  • Train and support teachers in curriculum delivery.
  • Promote inclusive, culturally sensitive, and developmentally appropriate education.

Enrollment & Family Engagement

  • Lead enrollment, parent interviews, and onboarding processes.
  • Build strong family relationships through regular communication.
  • Address parental concerns and organize parenting workshops.
  • Conduct home visits for children absent for extended periods.
  • Foster a caring school environment that mirrors a family setting.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with Ethiopian early childhood education laws.
  • Maintain hygiene and safety standards (CCTV monitoring, sanitation, etc.).
  • Keep complete and current student and incident records.
  • Ensure classrooms and staff meet health and cleanliness standards.

Financial Management

  • Collaborate with the CEO on budget planning and resource management.

Community Relations

  • Represent the school at public events.
  • Establish partnerships with local organizations.
  • Host school-family events and engage in community programs.

📊 Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

Will be provided through the organization’s performance management system and reviewed on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.


👤 Candidate Requirements

📚 Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business Management, or related fields.
  • Certifications in early childhood education preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a leadership role within a childhood education setup.
  • Familiarity with Cambridge curriculum is highly preferred.
  • Expats with valid work and residence permits are encouraged to apply.
