🎯 Job Summary:

The Principal will oversee the daily academic and operational functions of the school. This role demands a passionate leader with experience in early childhood education and a strong commitment to nurturing students and building a family-like school environment. The Principal ensures compliance with academic and regulatory standards, manages staff, and collaborates with parents and the community to promote a supportive learning environment.

🔑 Key Responsibilities:

✅ Curriculum Development

Oversee and implement the Cambridge curriculum.
Liaise regularly with the Cambridge team for curriculum updates.
Ensure all learning resources are up to date and accessible.
Train and support teachers in curriculum delivery.
Promote inclusive, culturally sensitive, and developmentally appropriate education.

✅ Enrollment & Family Engagement

Lead enrollment, parent interviews, and onboarding processes.
Build strong family relationships through regular communication.
Address parental concerns and organize parenting workshops.
Conduct home visits for children absent for extended periods.
Foster a caring school environment that mirrors a family setting.

✅ Compliance & Safety

Ensure compliance with Ethiopian early childhood education laws.
Maintain hygiene and safety standards (CCTV monitoring, sanitation, etc.).
Keep complete and current student and incident records.
Ensure classrooms and staff meet health and cleanliness standards.

✅ Financial Management

Collaborate with the CEO on budget planning and resource management.

✅ Community Relations

Represent the school at public events.
Establish partnerships with local organizations.
Host school-family events and engage in community programs.

📊 Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

Will be provided through the organization’s performance management system and reviewed on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

👤 Candidate Requirements

📚 Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business Management, or related fields.
Certifications in early childhood education preferred.
Minimum 2 years of experience in a leadership role within a childhood education setup.
Familiarity with Cambridge curriculum is highly preferred.
Expats with valid work and residence permits are encouraged to apply.
