1. WPS Program Coordinator

Job Summary:
The WPS Program Coordinator (PC) is a senior position responsible for coordinating and managing NEWA’s programs on Women, Peace, and Security (WPS). The role includes effective day-to-day program management, resource mobilization, and providing technical guidance to project officers. The PC works closely with the Program Manager, Finance & Administration, M&E unit, and other departments to ensure all projects meet the mission and objectives of NEWA.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate all WPS projects in line with NEWA’s mission.
  • Lead project planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
  • Mobilize resources and draft project proposals.
  • Build partnerships with government agencies, civil society organizations, and donors.
  • Conduct advocacy activities and promote women’s participation in peacebuilding and humanitarian responses.
  • Mentor and coach program staff.

Job Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Peace and Security, Social Sciences, Gender Studies, International Development, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in program coordination, design, implementation, and resource mobilization.
  • Knowledge of gender equality, development agendas, and WPS issues.
  • Proven expertise in project proposal drafting and fundraising.
  • Excellent communication and networking skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

2. Administrative Officer

Functional Summary:
The Administrative Officer will coordinate and oversee administrative services to ensure the organization operates efficiently. The role includes office management, personnel administration, and providing logistical support.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Oversee office operations and ensure the smooth running of daily activities.
  • Manage telecommunications, security, and facility maintenance.
  • Maintain personnel records and ensure confidentiality.
  • Support office procedures and coordinate administrative services.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree/Diploma in Management or related field.
  • 2 years of experience with a degree or 4 years with a diploma in office management.
  • Knowledge of modern office procedures and personnel management.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and coordination skills.

3. Driver

Functional Summary:
The Driver is responsible for providing safe and reliable transportation services and ensuring the assigned vehicle is well-maintained and always operational.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Drive staff and transport assets for official purposes.
  • Ensure vehicle cleanliness and regular maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate vehicle records (fuel, mileage, repairs).
  • Adhere to traffic regulations and ensure the safety of passengers and assets.

Job Requirements:

  • High school education.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
  • Additional mechanical training is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of driving experience.
