1. Finance and Administrative Officer (FAO)

Required Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline with a strong foundation in financial management.

Experience:

  • Minimum of two years of relevant professional experience at the national level in financial management, accounting, administrative support, and contract management.
  • Proficiency in project and financial management tools.
  • Experience in overseeing financial management and reporting for implementing partners.
  • Solid understanding of financial management and accounting systems.

Languages:

  • Excellent proficiency in English.
  • Working knowledge of Amharic is required, while knowledge of French is advantageous.

Competencies:

  • Familiarity with organizational financial, administrative, and human resource policies and procedures.
  • Understanding of national and local regulations related to financial management.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication, writing, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in office software and financial systems.
  • Leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Commitment to ethical conduct, honesty, and integrity.

2. Programme Officer

Required Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.

Experience:

  • At least two years of experience in programme and project planning, monitoring, implementation, and evaluation.

Languages:

  • Fluent in English with working knowledge of Amharic.

Technical and Behavioral Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of programming and results-based management (RBM) principles.
  • Knowledge of the programming cycle, including planning, monitoring, reporting, and evaluation.
  • Experience in resource mobilization and stakeholder engagement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong drafting and communication abilities.
  • Effective time management and multitasking skills.

Alternative Qualifications:

  • Candidates without a university degree may qualify based on the following:
    • Completion of secondary education plus six years of relevant experience.
    • Completion of secondary education with a post-secondary diploma/certificate and four years of relevant experience.
