Position Summary
The Health Logistics Officer is responsible for managing the supply chain for medical logistics, ensuring the efficient and cost-effective delivery of medical goods. This role requires collaboration with various departments, adherence to regulatory standards, and a focus on continuous improvement to support Ethiopost’s commitment to excellence.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end supply chain process, from order processing to transportation and distribution, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of medical goods.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers, regularly evaluating their performance.
- Stay updated on healthcare logistics regulations and industry standards to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
- Collaborate with medical staff, finance, and administration to align logistics strategies with organizational goals.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance productivity.
- Ensure timely delivery of EQA and all biological samples.
- Maintain accurate tracking records, filing, and timely reporting.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a logistics or supply chain role, preferably within healthcare logistics.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with stakeholders.
- Proficient in leveraging technology to improve operational efficiency, including automating processes and improving data management.
