Position 1: NRM/PW & Environment Facilitator

  • Role Summary:
    Facilitate natural resource management (NRM), public works, and disaster risk reduction (DRR) initiatives in collaboration with kebele-level government experts, ensuring compliance with project standards.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Plan, document, and implement project activities.
    • Monitor and ensure quality in NRM structures and public works.
    • Prepare and submit regular progress reports.
  • Job Requirements:
    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Irrigation Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, Natural Resource Management, Soil and Water Conservation, Agricultural Engineering, or related fields.
    • Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a similar role, preferably within an NGO.
    • Languages: Proficiency in Amharic or the local language of the project area; basic English knowledge required.
  • Additional Competencies:
    • Proactive and self-motivated.
    • Alignment with FH’s Christian values.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Workstation: Simada
  • Contract: One-year, renewable with a 60-day probation period.
  • Salary: As per FH Ethiopia’s salary scale.

Position 2: Finance Officer

  • Role Summary:
    Manage financial activities at the Regional/Mekelle office, including payment processing, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Process payments and maintain payment documents.
    • Prepare financial reports using MS Dynamics.
    • Manage payroll deductions and reconciliations.
    • Support audits and ensure compliance with financial policies.
  • Job Requirements:
    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Project Management.
    • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in grants management or financial roles, preferably within an NGO.
    • Skills: Proficiency in MS Dynamics, Power BI, and other accounting software.
  • Workstation: Mekelle, Tigray
  • Contract: One-year, renewable with a 60-day probation period.
  • Salary: As per FH Ethiopia’s salary scale.

Position 3: Driver

  • Role Summary:
    Provide safe transportation services, vehicle maintenance, and logistical support for organizational errands.
  • Essential Tasks:
    • Inspect and maintain vehicle conditions.
    • Facilitate transportation needs for departments.
    • Handle errands such as bank transfers and mail deliveries.
  • Job Requirements:
    • Education: High school completion.
    • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of driving experience, preferably within an NGO.
    • License: Valid 3rd-grade driving license.
    • Languages: Proficiency in Tigrigna preferred; basic English skills advantageous.
  • Workstation: Abergelle Yechilla, Tigray
  • Contract: One-year, renewable with a 60-day probation period.
  • Salary: As per FH Ethiopia’s salary scale.
