Position Overview
The Senior Site Engineer is responsible for managing on-site engineering activities, ensuring that all installation and construction processes align with project specifications, contractual requirements, and quality standards. This role requires close monitoring of labor performance, material procurement, compliance documentation, and quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Ensure all contract specifications and guidelines are adhered to during the project.
- Manage material submittals, consultant requirements, and maintain an updated register.
- Oversee Method Statements and Risk Assessments, ensuring compliance with HSE/QA-QC procedures.
- Maintain a procurement schedule, track material deliveries, and report any delays.
- Ensure proper dissemination of contractual documents (drawings, contracts, specifications) to relevant site teams.
- Report scope changes to the Commercial Team immediately.
- Manage on-site drawing control and update records weekly.
- Uphold QA/QC requirements, ensuring quality installations before inspection documentation.
- Monitor project team efficiencies, report deviations, and update senior managers weekly.
- Ensure Testing & Commissioning, Warranty, and Defect Liability requirements are properly documented and signed off.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Line Manager.
Qualification and Requirements
- Education: BSc in Civil Engineering, Construction Technology & Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a construction company, specifically in building projects.
- Preferred: Experience in an international construction company is an advantage.
